[Class 75 (i).] An oil vapour burner for use in furnaces where a broad flat flame is required comprises a vaporizing coil A consisting of a number of turns forming an interior space of the same shape in plan as the required flame, one or more vapour jets E arranged below the coil, and a cover plate B provided with a long narrow slot C welded or otherwise secured tc the top of the coil.
