Abstract
382,499. Sparking-plugs. TEBALDI, A., 18, Via Ilarione Petitti, Milan, Italy. Feb. 10, 1932, No. 4019. Convention date, Aug. 11, 1931. [Class 7 (iv).] A pin 13 is secured in, but spaced away from, the hollow electrode 8, its clearance being such that, when a predetermined temperature is reached, the other end of the pin engages the cooling-nut 7 and enlarges the heat - transference path from the hotter portion of the plug. The contacting surfaces may be at right-angles or oblique to the axis ; they may be conical and the outer end of the pin may be split. A deformable bimetallic pin may be employed. The material may be the same as, or different from, that used for the electrode.
