Abstract
379,006. Compound glass. DEHN, F. B., 103, Kingsway, London.-(Rohm & Haas Akt.-Ges.; 42, Weiterstadterstrasse, Darmstadt, Germany.) June 4, 1931, No. 16372. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, July 8, 1931.] [Class 140.] In compound sheet material comprising two or more layers of a frangible material such as glass, which may be flat or curved, and one or more elastic intermediate layers, an intermediate layer projects beyond the edges of at least one of the glass layers to form a rim, by which it may be mounted in a frame. The projecting rim may be reinforced. Additional sheets of glass may be united to one or both sides of the projecting intermediate layer to form a flexible product. The intermediate layers are preferably organic condensation or polymerization products, for example polymerized acrylic acid ester.
