Abstract

377,748. Picking-up tools. MORLAND & IMPEY, Ltd., IMPEY, F. L., and RENDALL, A. G., Kalamazoo Works, Mill Lane, Northfield, Birmingham. May 4, 1931, No. 13074. [Class 61 (ii).] An adhesive label or indicator for use with commercial papers is made from a piece of thin iron or other magnetic material covered with adhesive paper, the label being taken from a pile by a magnet held in the hand, applied to a moistening pad, and then stuck to the paper. The label may be of round, polygonal or annular form and may comprise a layer of paper with a deposit of magnetic metal. The device for manipulating the labels comprises a magnet f, Fig. 4, mounted on a sliding rod k within a tube e. The labels are stacked in tubes reinforced by sleeves j, Fig. 5, and contained in sockets in a stand c fitted with a moistening device d.
