[Class 74 (i).] A machine for braiding fibrous tubing, e.g. for electrical purposes, is provided with a mandrel A reciprocated rapidly in an axial direction. The lower end of the mandrel is held against a cam B by a spring C. The fabric engaging end A<1> of the mandrel is preferably tapered.
