[Class 44.] A key holder, from which the snap-hooks 11 for receiving the keys are removable, comprises a tubular support 16 having slots 20 with enlarged ends 21 through which approximately ball-shaped heads 13 on the hooks can be inserted and the hook shanks 12 engaged in the narrow portions of the slots. A movable locking member retains the hooks in place. As shown, the support 16 has plate extensions 18, 19 secured to the case a by rivets 15 and the locking member, (shown separate, Fig. 9), is a plate 22 slidably mounted between the parts 18, 19, the plate 19 being offset at 23 to provide a shoulder serving to guide the lower edge of member 22. The upper edge is curved to conform to the back wall of support 16 and has projections 24 with intermediate recesses 25. Normally, the projections 24 register with, and close, the enlargements 21 of the slots 20 and prevent removal of the hooks, the recesses registering with the enlargements 21 when the plate 22 is slidably displaced to allow removal of the hooks. An upturned tongue 26 on plate 22 limits movement of the plate in one direction, and a similar larger tongue 27 serving as a finger-piece and working in a slot 28 in plate 19 limits movement in the opposite direction. In a modification, Fig. 11, the member 22 is biased to locking position by a spring 31 and is moved to release position by a pivoted cam 35 engaging a projection 34 on the locking member and provided with a finger-piece 38 by which the cam may be rocked. Figs. 19 and 21 show the cam in normal and hook-releasing positions respectively.
