373,032. Curing fish. COX, R., 44A, Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby. Sept. 12, 1931, No. 25649. [Class 49.] In curing haddocks, codlings, herrings and other fish by smoking the fish being supported on a steel rod or speet d while in the smoking chamber by passing the speet through the napes of the fish, means are provided for taking a substantial portion. of the weight of the fish from the napes and transferring it directly to the speet. A hook member may be provided formed of a steel wire a bent over at one end to form a hook b which engages the speet, and having its free ends sharpened and bent to form prongs c<1>, c<2> which engage with the fish. A metal plate e is soldered &c. to the hook member.
