Abstract

<PICT:0372649/III/1> <PICT:0372649/III/2> An insulating layer is applied to a perforated fixed electrode of an electrostatic loudspeaker by moving a vessel d, Fig. 2, containing varnish and having a perforated bottom e covered with a layer of permeable material f, to and fro over the electrode under a constant and gentle pressure. Such a method ensures that the insulating means c is pressed over the apertures in the electrode, as shown in Fig. 3. Any unevenness in the layer may be subsequently dissolved away.
