Abstract
371,565. Wireless signalling. RICCHIARDI, P. C., 1, Via Montecuccoli, Turin, Italy. March 25, 1931, No. 9126. Convention date, March 31, 1930. [Class 40 (v).] A number of radio receiving-stations are provided each with a series of tuned mechanical vibrators 13 adapted for selective operation by incoming signals, the incoming wave being first rectified by a detector 3 to bring out a modulation sub-wave in the circuit 4, and the sub-wave being heterodyned by a local oscillator 6. The resulting beat frequency appears in the plate circuit of a second detector 9 and after amplification by the valves 10, 11 acts on the relay 12 and selectively operates one of the vibrators 13; to close a selected circuit. As the local source 6 can be adjusted in frequency, the sets of tuned vibrators 13 may be identical at all the receiving-stations. The vibrators may operate either directly or through further relays to close a selected telephone circuit; or the system may be applied for telegraphic purposes, each signal being constituted by groups of two or more frequencies as in Specification 276,376, [Class 40 (v), Wireless signalling &c.].
