[Class 103 (iv).] An electric railway system comprises a spherical car 1 rolling on rails 2 or in a tube surrounded by solenoids 3. The car may comprise an outer magnetic shell and an inner shell floating in mercury &c. and provided, if desired, with ballast in the lower part. Two gyroscopes may be arranged in the bottom of the inner shell and driven in opposite directions by electric motors.
