Abstract
355,087. Cables. HENLEY'S TELEGRAPH WORKS CO., Ltd., W. T., 11, Holborn Viaduct, London, and WHITEHOUSE, W. P., of Henley's Telegraph Co., Gravesend, Kent. Oct. 4, 1930, No. 29725. [Class 36.] Identification marks for the conductors of a quad of the type in which each conductor receives the same amount of ink of the same colour in a given length are so designed as not to come near the edge of the conductor and to avoid fine lines such as occur in letters. This is effected by marking each conductor with compact marks such as round spots and identifying the conductors by the spacing of the marks. In the arrangement shown in the Figure the conductors are marked with evenly spaced dots and with dots in groups of two, three, or four respectively, the groups being appropriately spaced. The dots may be in contact in which case they mav be rectangular so as to form longer or shorter marks.
