[Class 120 (iii).] In a pirn for use in automatic looms comprising a metal shell a and a head f secured by driving the bush e into the interior of the shell, the bush is conicallv recessed to facilitate entrance of the spindle. A second bush b is secured near the top of the pirn by indentations or grooves c and is similarly recessed. The exterior of the shell a is roughened or grooved to prevent the windings from slipping.
