Abstract

350,002. Coin-freed weighing and vending apparatus. SALTER & CO., Ltd., G. and ROGERS, E. R., 144, High Street, West Bromwich. March 1, 1930, No. 6787. [Class 27.] A combined weighing and vending machine has separate weighing mechanism and vending mechanism which are rendered operative independently by the insertion, of separate coins. The articles to be sold are arranged in two piles 12, 12a housed within the pillar 3 of the weighing machine and are delivered by drawers 17, 17a each controlled by a separate coin-freed mechanism, the coins for which are inserted through separate slots in the pillar. The coin-freed mechanism for the weighing apparatus is separate from the coin-freed mechanisms of the vending-apparatus and is actuated by a coin inserted through a slot 19 in the dial portion of the machine. The coins inserted in the vending- apparatus and weighing apparatus respectively are delivered to separate receptacles 24, 21 placed in the lower portion of the pillar 3 and accessible through a looked removable front plate..
