Abstract

A cotton fabric having one face raised or of a woolly or fleecy nature is coated on the reverse face with a componnd containing rubber and leather dust. In the example, the mix consists of 1 part of rubber, 2 of leather dust, and 1 of fillers and sulphur with or without accelerator, colouring matter, or both. The coating is vulcanized hot or cold. The material is suitable for the uppers of slippers or for other lined leather goods, the raised fabric forming the lining.
