Abstract

343,372. Loose-leaf binders. SCHADE, J., Holyoke, Massachusetts, U.S.A. April 5, 1930, No. 10871. [Class 146 (i).] In a loose-leaf ring binder, the back 6 of the book is formed of non-metallic material such as vulcanite, papier mÔchÚ, celluloid, vulcanized fibre, .or the material known under the registered Trade Mark "Bakelite." This material is shaped to agree with the length and width of the book and is coloured and patterned to correspond with the side covers. The back is attached by means of fastening devices, such as long eyelets 7, which are embedded at one end in the back 6 and at the other end pass through perforations in the plate 1, and are clinched over. In alternative forms, hollow rivets are used instead of eyelets and may be riveted or attached by screws to the loose-leaf structure.
