Abstract
342,244. Insulators. SINGER, F., 48, Bayernallee, Berlin. June 24, 1930, No. 19171. Convention date, Sept. 3, 1929. [Class 36.] In order to avoid strains during the fixing of a hollow ceramic insulator adapted to contain oil, the floor closing the oil-space is arched or curved. In the supporting insulator shown in Fig. 1, a narrow collar b formed on the insulator shell a carries a dome-shaped floor c. In a modified construction the dome may be inverted. As shown in Figs. 3, 4, the collar b is formed as a truncated cone closed by a glazed disc d.
