340,727. Moulding pies. WILLS, E. G., Cake Shop, Woodville Road, Ellacombe, Torquay. Nov. 28, 1929, No. 36573. [Class 87 (ii).] A hand appliance for pressing, cutting, perforating, and decorating pie lids and the like comprises a semicircular horizontally corrugated member B fixed to a wall A having a lower cutting edge b. A piercing member C is fastened to the rearwardly flanged top plate which is provided with a handle F. Other shapes may be employed beside the semicircular shape illustrated. The corrugations imprint the pattern on the lid and also press it on to the body of the pie, while the edge b removes surplus pastry. The spike C forms the hole for escape of steam during baking.
