340,400. Toasting-appliances. HILL, G., New House, Risbury, near Leominster, Herefordshire. Dec. 10, 1929, No. 37792. [Class 28 (i).] A toasting-fork comprises a frame g adapted to receive the bread or the like and having a stem f slidably and rotatably mounted in a socket c at the end of a handle a, the stem f being provided with a head e of non-circular cross-section adapted to rest in a loop d, carried by the socket c, in any one of four positions at 90‹ to each other. The handle a is arranged at an angle of 45‹ to the diagonal of the loop d so that, when the bread is held parallel to the fire, the user's hand is not exposed to the heat. By raising the head e and rotating through 180‹ the other side of the bread is exposed to the fire, and by rotating through 90‹ the device is adapted for use from the other side of the fire. The parts of the device may be made from single or double lengths of wire.
