Abstract

339,094. Wilson &. Co., Barnsley, Ltd., and Wilson, W. B. Nov. 20, 1929. Bobbins.-A slot protector comprises a strip of metal which lines the two ends of the slot, and which has a central circular portion which is driven into the material of the bobbin, said circular portion having on it a flange for protecting that part of the bobbin head lying between the circular portion of the slot protector and the bore of the bobbin. The slot is lined at A, Fig. 1, and flanges B protect the part C of the bobbin. In a modified form, the inner edge of the flanges may be enlarged and turned in parallel to the bore of the bobbin, thus providing greater protection for the part C, Fig. 2.
