Abstract

337,718. Kohler, A. April 6, 1929, [Convention date]. Window guards.-A roll-up guard is produced by arranging a plurality of similarly shaped " zig-zag " bars in parallel spaced relationship, and by threading on the bars a number of pierced plates which connect each bar alternately with one and then the other of the two adjacent bars. As shown, a number of curved bars c<1>, Figs. 1 and 5, are interconnected by connecting links e which are strung on the said bars when the latter are in the position shown in Fig. 5. For strengthening purposes, the links e are bored centrally to receive rods b, which rods, and the bars c', are secured in position to the end links bv cotter pins s. The rods b may be oblong or circular in section and may be dispensed with if desirable.
