Abstract
334,942. Johnson, D. C. Croom-, and Hunter, J. G. June 13, 1929. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Reel and non-endless web apparatus.-In advertising or indexing devices, writing pads, &c. of the draw-out type wherein a flexible sheet bearing advertising &c. matter is concealed within a casing, the sheet is mounted on a spring- roller contained in a case 10 attached to the rim 7 of a shallow holder 6 adapted to receive the base of a telephone transmitter standard, the case 10 being located so that a line drawn medially longitudinally of the extended sheet will pass approximately through the centre of the holder 6. The shape of the holder is made to conform to that of the telephone base. The holder may be provided with friction supports such as rubber blocks 27, and may have a writing table 30 fitted with studs 31 which engage holes in the sheet to maintain it withdrawn in various positions.
