330,649. Duhamel, E. C., and Compagnie GÚnÚrale des Industries Textiles. March 5, 1928, [Convention date]. Divided on 307,360. Extracts, making.-Oils, fats, waxes, resins &c. are extracted from non-fibrous materials such as shales, oil-bearing sands, filtering and decolorizing material such as fullers' earth and charcoal, fish meal, and waste from the treatment of tallow, beeswax and paraffins by treatment with suint liquor. The suint liquor is used at about 60‹C. and 6‹BÚ and is purified for re-use and for recovery of the separated materials by centrifuging. It may be concentrated by evaporation to a paste for transport and subsequently diluted for use and may also be decolorized, deodorized and sterilized. The materials may be comminuted before extraction. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that constituents of the suint liquor such as alkaline compounds may be used in addition thereto or in substitution therefor. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
