Light-sensitive cells. -In a selenium cell of the condenser type interlacing electrodes 3, 4, connected to supply wires 1 and 2 respectively, are made of a metal incapable of being wetted by molten selenium, while the plates 5 arranged between them are capable of being wetted. All the plates are insulated from each other by mica sheets 6, the selenium layer being indicated at 7. Other arrangements of electrodes (Figs. 1, 3, not shown) may be adopted.
