326,643. Crosfield, S. Jan. 29, 1929. Mechanical constructions, details for building- up.-A constructional toy comprises girder or strutlike elements 1 detachably connected by connecting pieces 2. The connecting pieces each consist of a central part 2 having either parallel or tapered "fingers" 3. The girder or strut-like elements 1 have grooves 4 in their sides as shown, the inwardly projecting ribs so formed making, in conjunction with the bases of the elements, sockets in which the connecting pieces are gripped. Sheets 5 are inserted in the grooves 4 of the elements 1. Some of these sheets may have openings into which other sheets, cut to represent window frames, may be detachably fitted.
