Semi-automatic exchange systems.-The selection of a particular jack Ja - - J<c> at the outgoing end of a. junction causes a pulse of a particular combination of three out of four voice-frequencies W - - Z to be transmitted over the junction to effect at the incoming end, by means of tuned relays WV - - ZV and combination-responsive relays 6<a> - - 6<c>, the starting of a particular group of call-finders LF<a> - - LF<c> whereby the connection is extended to one of a number of further exchanges.
