Pianoforte keyboards, actions, and pedal actions. -Comprises a pianoforte of either the upright, grand, or player type, wherein the inner ends of the keys rest, on a board 2 adapted to be lowered at will by depressing an extra pedal, to increase the throw of the hammers, and accordingly, the sound emitted, the hammers being returned to normal position when the pedal is released. The keys are operated by a push-road 4 connected to the pedal, so that when. the pedal is depressed the board 2 tilts and allows the ends of the keys 1 to drop. In a modification, the board is moved bv means of cams which are rotated when the pedal is depressed.
