Abstract

325,863. Dornfried, A., Karcher, E., and Single, A. Sept. 28, 1928. Pyrometers.-In a radiation pyrometer in which the luminous radiation from the hot body is absorbed by a colour filter, the colour density of the filter is graduated so as to increase continuously from one end to the other. The filter d is mounted in a frame a which may be rectangular as shown or circular and on which is disposed a slide e carrying a collecting.lens f and formed with an observation slot g. The slide is adjusted along the frame until the luminous radiation from the hot body is wholly absorbed by the filter. An index h on the slide then indicates the temperature on a scale i on the frame.
