Delivery apparatus; associating - apparatus; cutting-apparatus. - A web W printed by machines 2, 3 with a, number of different signatures is slit by cutters 4 into a number of separate webs a - - f, Fig. 1, which pass over longitudinal web-folders arranged out of line widthwise of the web, the folded webs being passed sideby-side to sheet-cutting cylinders and delivery trays, each two or more products wide so that each tray collects similarlyprinted signatures. In one form, the webs a, c, e pass over turning-bars 8, 8<1> so as to be superposed on the webs b, d, f respectively and the pairs of webs are led over the formers 9, 10, 11 of longitudinal folders which are placed diagonally so that the webs, after being folded thereby, can be brought together in side-by-side relationship between rollers 15, Fig. 3. Cutting-cylinders 16 of treble width sever the webs into sheets taken alternately by gripper cylinders 18, 19 which in turn fold the sheets thereon alternately into grippers on cylinders 20, 21 and 22, 23 respectively. The cylinders 18 - - 23 are all of treble width to deal with the three sets of sheets, and each of the cylinders 20 - - 23 delivers to three trays arranged abreast of one another as, for example, trays 25 - - 27 in the case of the roller 20. In a modified arrangement for dealing with a web slit into three parts only, the turning- bars 8, 8<1> are dispensed with. The pairs of webs ab, cd and ef may, by suitably arranging the turning-bars, be directed into paths vertically above one another, the formers 9, 10, 11 being placed one behind the other and at different levels.
