Abstract
325,071. Walpole, G. S. Jan. 10, 1929. Type cases.-A, series of type-retaining trays 5, Fig. 1, slidably mounted in a casing 4, are associated with a cuttercrush, embossing, or like machine, in order to facilitate the selection of the required type. The casing 4 is supported on standards 1, disposed on either side of the cutter-crush machine 2. The standards also carry a sloping bracket 3, on which the trays may be placed. A table 6, for supporting type, is secured either to the casing 4 or to the bridge 9 of the machine, and a second table 10 is located alongside the machine platen 11. Each of the trays 5 has lateral partitions 14, Fig. 2, and stops 15, which may be adjustable, for separating the type into groups. Representations of the type characters may be provided on the trays, to indicate the positions that the types should occupy.
