Abstract

322,325. Singleton, C. Nov. 22, 1928. Securing brushes on shafts. -A brush-base 5 is secured to a brush-cap 6 by snugs 10 sliding in dovetail slots 7 in an annular extension 4 of the base fitting into a flange 9 of the cap. The snugs have a dovetail cross - section and flanges, 11, of curvature equal to that of the inner surface of the extension, and the base is secured to the cap by screws 12 passing through holes 8 in the flange, and engaging threaded boles in the snugs.
