Fuel containers. - In a frame for motor or other cycles of the type formed from a single sheet-metal pressing, Fig. 1, bent along the lines 4, 5 to form the upper surface 6, Fig. 2, and two parallel sides 2, 3, the pressing is formed' with longitudinal slits 7 at the front, leaving tongues 9 which are wrapped around a separatelyformed head tube 10 and welded together at 11 and to the tube. The adjacent edges of the slits 7 are welded together, and a curved edge 12 is welded to the tube 10. The sides 2, 3 and the upper portion 6 form the walls of the fuel tanks, the remaining walls being formed by diaphragms 18 and flanges 20. The front and bottom of the main fuel tank may alternatively be formed from a single sheet of metal bent to the required shape and attached along its free edges to the sides and top of the frame, and along its rear edge to the bottom of a second sheet of metal, which forms, with the frame, a lubricant tank. Specification 303,619 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
