Abstract

320,545. Frydenlund, I. N. S. Nov. 8, 1928. Reflectors; adjusting reflectors from a distance. -In a vehicle or like lamp one half or other portion 4 of the reflector is pivotally mounted on a vertical axis in proximity to the front edge of the reflector so that rays of light reflected by the part 4 may be directed to augment the rays of light reflected by the stationary part 3. The part 4 may be held in its normal position by means of a flat or other spring connected at one end to the part 4 and at the other end to the lamp casing, or by means of a coiled spring surrounding the hinge pin 6. The source of light 5 may be rigidly secured to the part 3 and the part 4 may be provided with an arm 9 to which a control wire or cord 8 is attached. In a modification, both parts of the reflector are pivotally mounted so that either part may be operated.
