Outdoor games; table games; parlour games.- Appliances for playing games comprise one or more playing pieces, and a playing surface or board marked with a central space and with a number of concentric circles each divided into a plurality of sections s marked alternately with odd and even numerals, each section representing one playing card of a pack the values of which are arranged in decreasing value from the centre space to the circumferential circle. The sections of the circles may be arranged in different colours in symmetrical formation. The central space may represent the joker card or may be covered by a truncated cone provided at the top with a depression to receive a ball. In playing a game involving the element of golf, the players putt from a definite point and score maximum points for holing the ball in the cone and other points according to the sections entered. In playing another game, the cards of an ordinary pack, including the joker, are placed face downward one in each section of the board, and the player then turns up each card and scores on the basis of agreement between the card and the section. In a further game, small discs, quoits or chips of different colours and provided with a central hole are thrown upon the board from an agreed distance. The board may be incorporated in a rug so that it may be rolled up, and may be arranged on both sides of the rug.
