Abstract

319,167. Feldman, J. Dec. 13, 1928. Transformers. - Inductive components of a wireless set such as transformers or chokes are provided with two sets of fixing lugs, one set 6 lying in a plane parallel to the longitudinal centre line and the other set in a plane at right-angles thereto, in order to facilitate fixing of the components in non-inductive relation to each other. In the case of the transformer shown in Fig. 1, the plane bounded by one set of lugs is not intersected by the plane bounded by the other set so that the set of lugs not used in fixing does not foul the base to which the transformer is fixed by the other set. Where the lugs of one set project into the plane of the lugs of the other set as in Fig. 8, the lugs not required for fixing may be broken off in the fixing operation, or washers may be inserted beneath the lugs used in fixing.
