Refrigerating, compression machines and processes for.-The usual expansion valve between the condenser 6 and the evaporator 5 of a compression refrigerating machine is replaced by a capillary tube 1. The tube is connected to the evaporator by a un:on having a central passage of greater sectional area than the tube bore. For machines of average capacity, the tube may have a bore 0.037 inches in diameter and a length of 36 inches.
