Abstract

Moving apparatus combined with phonographs. - Advertising apparatus comprises a gramophone or phonograph b connected to a horn or the like e which is situated outside a shop window a, and controlling electric lamps arranged in proximity to articles or an index located within the shop window. The lamps may be associated with a numeral, &c. The horn e is fitted with a megaphone or other soundamplifying device d communicating with the phonograph by a sound-conducting pipe c. The horn may be detachable and may form an advertising shield, and may be of parabolic shape. The phonograph is fitted with switch bars v with which a brush u on the travelling sound box r contacts. The bars v may be replaced by others when another cylinder is inserted in the phonograph, the length of each bar corresponding to the duration of the speech relating to the article illuminated.
