Abstract

318,723. Rogers, R. J. Aug. 7, 1928. Gas heating-stoves; bracket stoves ; condensing products of combustion.-A gas radiator stove comprises a casing a, of sheet - metal, castiron, asbestos-cement, or other suitable material, adapted to be secured against a wall to leave a clear floor space below it, there being burners at the lower end, outlets e for the combustion products, and air inlets which, in the form shown, are formed as perforations in a door d giving access to the burners. The back is lined with heatinsulating material f, which is preferably of a nature to absorb condensed water, and a similar layer g is preferably provided at the front for a short distance above the burners. Condensed water not absorbed in the layers f, g is directed by baffles k into a trough h. Baffles may be provided in the casing, another form of stove illustrated, being provided with a vertical baffle near each side forming two passages down which the combustion products pass to outlets near the lower end of the casing. The inlets and outlets may be gauze-covered to render the stove suitable for use in garages &c.
