Abstract

318,505. Nakane, K. May 4, 1928. Stop-motions, warp.- A notched bar 3 is reciprocated by resilient connections 9, 10, 12, 13 and a crank 8 within a correspondingly notched U-shaped bar 2 arranged across the loom and vertically guided or pivoted droppers 38 threaded on the warps 35 fall into the notches of the bars 2, 3 when a warp breaks or is slack and the bar 2 is then moved in either direction from its mean positions in which it is held by a spring 20 until a pin 23 on a spring-pulled bell-crank 22 enters one of two notches 4. This lever 22 by means of a rod 26 and another lever 25 moves a rod 27 into the path of a hunter 34 on the slay which operates the stop-mechanism. The broken warp is readily picked out as its dropper is displaced laterally with the bars 2, 3.
