Abstract

317,252. Lawrence, W. J. Sept. 26, 1928. Baskets; wickerwork. -A core to facilitate basket-making by blind persons is provided with guides arranged to ensure accurate positioning of the upright reeds. The core comprises a lower part C and an upper portion A both formed with guides B. The guides are conveniently narrow ribs bent up from metal plates which form the surface of the core one set 10', 11' being formed as double ribs to enable the starting point to be identified. The part C may comprise a pair of end discs connected by a central tube through which passes the bolt F for connecting together the parts of the core.
