Abstract

311,257. Fairbairn Lawson Combe Barbour, Ltd., and Lawson, L. H. Feb. 8, 1928. Gill boxes &c.-The faller-screws are formed with the threads a, Fig. 2, terminating in radial faces k, k<1> extending over the full width of the thread. The cams are formed with a hub f, Fig. 1, to support the' screw in the usual bearing and with lateral extensions or buttresses h, h<1> to fit against the faces k, k<1>. The hub f is provided with a square or other opening d to engage a corresponding projection b on the end of the screw. The cam parts w, w<1> are provided with circular parts t, t<1> and the supporting buttresses h, h<1> are shaped to conform to the inclination of the surfaces of the screw threads.
