Abstract
309,781. Wienskowitz, P. June 18, 1928. Stud-and-slot fastenings for shoes, spats, leggings, or gaiters are made adjustable by providing a plurality of key-hole slots 2 in a curved plate 1, Fig. 1, the edges of the slots being bent to form flared openings 4. The plate 1 is flanged at 5 to space the member 14 from the plate and allow entry of the stud 7, Fig. 2, attached to the member 13. The plate 1 may be curved transversely to assist the entry of the stud. For gaiters, the plate is external and therefore oppositely curved, Fig. 5.
