Tennis courts.-Porous hard tennis courts are surrounded by a channel C which receives surface water, leaves, &c., and directs the water to the clinker bed B, whence it rises to the rubble surface A. The channel may be lined with boards D, E, supported by metal stiffeners G. The board E may extend only partly down the side, and the holes F are then omitted. The linings may consist of channel-section lengths H, Fig. 5, of asbestos-cement, earthenware, metal, or other material, with holes J and supports K.
