Moulding icecreams ; cutting-apparatus. - An icecream dipper mould for producing a shape adapted to be ejected into a wafer box &c., comprises a head or box fitted with an ejector carried by a plunger rod which is reciprocated through rack teeth adapted to be engaged by a manually - operated member. As shown in Fig. 1, the mould or box 3, furnished with a knife edge, is carried by a tubular member 2 extending through a handle 1. The ejector 5 is carried by a plunger 4 mounted within the member 2 and furnished with rack teeth 6 meshing with teeth 7 on a quadrant 8 operable by a thumb piece 13. The spindle 9 of the quadrant 8 is mounted in a bracket 10 secured to the member 2 and is surrounded by a box carrying a spring tending to retract the 'member 5. A pivoted stop 19, engaging a pin 18, limits the movement of the rod 4. The stops may be swung wide to permit of complete withdrawal of the rod 4 for cleaning. A ferrule 14 is fitted to the handle 1 for attachment to the tap for cleaning. The box 3 is provided with a flange 17 forming a stop to position an edible container. In use, the device is plunged into ice cream to fill the box 3, the moulded block being then ejected by operation of the quadrant 8. A modification is described in which the quadrant operates the rod through an intermediate double pinion. The ejector may be retracted by a spring acting directly on the plunger rod.
