Abstract
307,011. Hauptmeyer, F., (Assignee of Krupp Akt.-Ges., F.). March 1, 1928, [Convention date]. Compositions containing metals.-A composition consisting of a powdered metal alloy neutral to chemical agents and a bond is used as a teethfilling and for objects used in the brewing industry such as vessels, piping, and apparatus. The composition is neutral to bacteria. Suitable alloys are chrome-nickel, nickel-iron, chromenickel steel and chrome-iron alloys. Suitable bonds are cements, varnishes, and water-glass preparations. In an example a tooth filling comprises finely powdered chromium-nickel-steel containing 20 per cent of chromium and 7 per cent of nickel bonded with dental cement. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also comprises a method of determining the lower limit of the percentage of metal or alloy, of a mixture containing chemically neutral metal or alloy and a binder, by testing a series of trial mixes. The Specification also specifies sulphur, tar, asphalt india-rubber, resin and the like as binders, and the application of the compositions to vessels, pipes, and apparatus used in chemical industries, for stairs, floors, pavements, bricks, and solid or pneumatic tyres. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
