Abstract

305,873. Simpson, B., and Dow, W. B. April 5, 1928. Stays.-A folding strut or stay for perambulator and like collapsable hoods is provided with a spring plate 3 of U-shape which encloses and is secured to the part 1, the other part 2 being pivotally mounted between the plate 3, balls 5 being provided to engage recesses 6 to hold the parts in an adjusted position. The part 3 is provided with an extension 7. A single set of concentrically-arranged recesses 6 may be provided, as shown in Fig. 1, or two .sets as shown in Fig. 4. Each ball 5 may bear upon a ball placed in the recesses in the part 2.
