Stands.-A skeleton clothes horse consists of a collapsable top member of trellis-like, form and a collapsable supporting member; it is adapted to stand over and round a heating apparatus, and to serve as a stand for trays and the like. The supporting-member consists of four corner posts a, with horizontal rails b, pivoted to them at b<1>. The sides are kept extended by diagonal stays c, pivoted at one end and formed as a catch at the other end. The top consists of a square of pivoted laths d - - g, the outer rails overhanging the support, The posts a may each be of thin U-section material, or of two strips pinned or hinged together, and the trellis laths may be diagonal, or may radiate from a centre and fold up umbrella-wise. The top rests on shoulders j, and is kept in place by bolts or buttons k. In a modification, the top and the support are hinged together, the parts h are rule-jointed in the middle and connected by short vertical links; the to consists of four radial and a number of other bars forming concentric squares like those shown. The top and the support are connected by rulejointed corner-stays.
