Abstract

300,435. Sherlock, R. Feb. 8, 1928. Laying and supporting pipes and tubes.-Pipe flashing to hold caulking material around a pipe where it passes through a roof or wall consists of a tapered thimble portion 12, Figs. 1 and 2, housed in the roof or wall, and an external flange 15. The thimble is provided with fingers 19 which may be broken off if desired, and the flange is scored with grooves 16, 17, 18 along which it may be severed to fit the thimble portion close against an adjacent wall or other projection. Fig. 4 shows the application to a roof, the joint being completed with caulking 26. Fig. 6 shows a modification for use on substantially flat roofs or floors.
