Abstract
299,814. Associated Telephone & Telegraph Co., (Assignees of Stehlik, R. F.). May 25, 1927, [Convention date]. Divided on 291,045. Drawings to Specification. Automatic exchange systems.-In a bi-directional call-finder hunting in both directions of motion, two test-wipers for controlling the motions are permanently connected together and a calling line is marked by ground in the vertical test-bank and absence of ground in the rotary test-bank. The vertical motion is terminaed by energisation of the change-over relay over the. vertical test-wiper, the stepping relay being temporarily held in series therewith so that the first impulse is sent immediately to the rotary magnet. The vertical test-contacts are normally connected to battery over resistances. A callfinder of a, group is preselected by one or other of two similar allotting switches used alternately for simultaneous calls. The circuits of the release magnets of the finders include a common metering device so that the number of operations of the finders is recorded. The system described is identical with that described in Specification 291,045, which claims other features.
