Abstract

297,745. Solmolaz, Ltd. Sept. 25, 1928. A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 27, 1928. Packing food for animals. -Solidified molasses and like sticky or semi-liquid materials for feeding animals are packed in containers which when open may serve as troughs. The container 6 is formed of tin plate, wood, pulp, &c. in two similar halves, of which one is shown in Fig. 1. Each half is filled to the top with material 7 and a sheet 8 of oiled paper &c. applied to the surface. The two halves are placed face to face and the edges crimped or united to form a package as shown in Fig. 2. In use, the junction is broken and each half used as a trough after the removal of the sheets 8. In a modification, the container may be formed of a number of divisions, sheets 8 being interposed between the contents of the divisions.
