Abstract

295,795. Towler, W. J. H., and Darwen & Co., Ltd., J. S. June 22, 1927. Hasp fastenings for suitcases and the like comprise a slidable strip 4 formed with teeth 11, the strip being slidable between a resilient device 13 and an abutment 12 for engaging the teeth. Play is provided by an opening 18 in the lower end of the sleeve 5 to enable the strip 4 to be moved over the abutment 12 until the hasp plate 3 is in a selected position. Means are provided to prevent the strip 4 from being withdrawn from the casing 5.
